About the directors

Dr Dave Jennings has successfully tackled a wide range of complex software engineering related projects: embedded software for medical devices using object oriented techniques; developing communications and network services; protocol conversion for email; remote diagnosis for systems in hostile or difficult to access environments; research in a variety of medical applications of engineering; use of automated software development techniques. He has a wide range of software related skills including knowledge of numerous packages, systems and methodologies. He has used Object Oriented Development techniques for the past 20 years, and has employed software modelling techniques since the early 1990s. He has extensive experience in the application and customisation of UML tools, including Rational Rose and Rhapsody. He has developed a number of labour saving customisations for the tools we employ to enhance their effectiveness and reproducibility. He is competent in the technical professional use of both French and German.

Esther Jennings speaks and writes on requirements management having undertaken substantial training in requirements engineering and in regulatory issues in the medical device sector. She uses software tools including Telelogic DOORS, the best in class requirements management tool; IBM/Rational Clear Case & Quest, the leading version and change control packages; and Telelogic Rhapsody, in particular Rhapsody Gateway, which allows traceability between many types of document and design artefact. She has a First Class honours degree from the Open University in Mathematics supplemented by courses in Computing and Science.
