Tool development

Trosolwg uses tools such as DOORS® and Rhapsody® to develop, maintain and document our work. Whilst the tools are best in class, we know that many people are looking for added functionality and improved integrations. We have developed a cost-effective suite of applications to be marketed at a competitive price which will enhance and extend the use of these and other software tools to provide integrated solutions.

DOORS to Word export

The tool will allow the export to Word from DOORS. Features include:

  • Export to customisable Word templates creating documents on your desired stationery
  • Table of contents
  • Export of pictures, tables and equations
  • Cross referencing
  • Production of a document history
  • Customisable headers and footers to include current version details

DOORS to Rhapsody traceability

The tool allows links to be made from DOORS to Rhapsody. The tracing mechanism will be robust through upgrades and will support Use Cases. It will permit links within DOORS to be viewed and, by allowing links between modules to be followed in either direction, will permit risk-driven requirements engineering.

The tool will provide a reporting facility and coverage metrics. The possibility of tracing between other document types is being considered.

Other applications

We would like to hear of other such integrations and extensions you would like provided. These may include web enabled applications, enhancements of DOORS and Rhapsody and their integration with other third party tools.
